What is Electrolysis?
There are three basic methods or modalities by which electrolysis is accomplished.
- Electrolysis/Galvanic - Direct current (DC) is used to cause a chemical reaction that forms caustic lye, which destroys the follicles' cells that can form hair.
- Thermolysis - Alternating current (AC) is used to create heat which dries up the follicle and destroys the blood supply to the follicle.
- Blend - Both Galvanic and Thermolysis are activated simultaneously or sequentially to accomplish the destruction of the follicle.
